East Carnarvon, Gascoyne WA
Passenger, 4x4, truck and tractor. A family run workshop that has been fitting tyres in Carnarvon since 2007, open from 7 in the morning.
What we fit
In their own words, this is a local business that provides tyres and tyre fitting for passenger, 4x4, truck and tractor. In practice that means a shed on Cornish Street with the stock and the gear to get a caravan, a work ute or a tractor back on the road.

New tyres, fitting and balancing for everyday cars and wagons, from stock sizes to whatever is on the rims now.
Tyres for utes, 4x4s and light trucks, the vehicles that actually get driven on Gascoyne gravel.
Heavy tyres for trucks and tractors, fitted at the workshop on Cornish Street.
Punctures plugged and patched while you wait. If we can repair it rather than sell you a new one, we will.
Tyres moved between rims, spares made up, wheel nuts supplied and replaced when the old ones have had it.
Tyre pressures set and a look over the wheels before you head off. Ask when you pull in.
Not sure what size you are on?
Ring the workshop and read out the numbers on the sidewall. We will tell you straight away whether it is on the shelf.

Before the long run
Carnarvon sits a long way from the next tyre shop in either direction. Plenty of the people who pull into Cornish Street are partway through a drive north to the Pilbara or south towards Perth, towing a van, loaded up, on tyres that have done a lot of hot kilometres.
Pull in before you go rather than after. We will check the pressures, look over the wheels and tell you honestly whether they will see out the trip.

The yard on Cornish Street runs tow trucks alongside the tyre bay. That is the pair of white recovery utes, the yellow tow truck and the flatbed parked out the front most days.
Carnarvon Tyres and Towing is an RAC Roadside Assistance Contractor, so if you are an RAC member and you have broken down around Carnarvon, there is a fair chance it is one of these trucks that turns up.
Recovery vehicles and a tilt tray working out of the Cornish Street yard.

Had a really great experience here while travelling through Carnarvon. Sam was incredibly kind and helpful. I had some concerns with my tyre/vehicle before continuing a long drive to Pilbara, and he took the time to check things properly, help with the tyre, and adjust the tyre pressure for me — all without charging me. It really gave me peace of mind before getting back on the road. Honest, friendly and genuinely helpful service. Highly recommended!
Called in to see if we could get a tyre puncture repaired on our Ute. The young lad who helped us out was very helpful and got the job done in no time, and saved us from unhooking our caravan. Thank you all so much. Will recommend your service to all.
Brilliant service and advice. I arrived early with my flat tyre. The staff were onto it straight away. They didn't have my size tyre in stock, so repaired the puncture and swapped tyres onto different rims, making the punctured tyre the temporary spare, until I get a replacement. Great service. Great fee for service. Highly recommended 👌
Very reasonably priced and quick service. I was at another tyre centre and was quoted $300 more for a single tyre, fitting and disposal of old tyre. Called Carnarvon tyre and towing for a quote, once they checked my tyre size was in stock, I was there within 10 minutes and immediately had my tyre being replaced. Highly rate the service, efficiency and cost. Thank you!
The shed on Cornish Street
That is how the Watsons describe it themselves, and the paperwork backs it up. The business name Carnarvon Auto Servicing and Towing was registered to Terry Watson in 2007, and the same family has been under the same roof ever since. In 2021 the name on the books became Carnarvon Tyres and Towing.
The old name is still painted across the front of the shed, which is roughly how things go in a town like this.
